Poster: A snowHead

I was hoping one of you good people could provide a ranking of the green slopes from easy to leas easy at Alpe d'Huez. If you just list a few, that would be great. Having studied the resort map, it's difficult to tell which are the best to start on for a first time outdoor skiier.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Hi Gogogo1, I gather you've learnt indoors? If that's the case, you'll find the greens are in general less steep than in a dome. The main difference being snow conditions and longer distances travelled.
A good place to start would probably be 'Rif Nel' as it runs alongside a road in town. It also has a lot of walkers, so if you need to bail out it's very easy to do so. Then, when confident, I'd probably venture up the Rifnel Express which is in the same area, and over to Jeux for more terrain.
It's been 2 years since I was there, but I hope this helps!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Oh, and if you haven't had lessons before the ski school would be the best place to start.

AdH is a perfect resort for beginners as the main beginner bowl is the one right next to the resort so you can see from the bottom what each run looks like/can just ski across from one side to the other at the top if you decide you don't like the look of one run when viewed from the top.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks, I went down the Rifnel and I was fine with it, it allowed me to practice what I'd been taught on outdoor snow. Thanks for your help.
