When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Been lots of sightings in the valley recently, many up near Monetier, with one walking across the road by the petrol station at 02:00, and a friend is monitoring a pack with motion detection cams.

Today walking the dogs near to us, not even 750m from our home we came across this kill, and it's not the first time that in the same place I've seen hair/fur left from a kill, but this time round it was pretty gruesome with a fair amount of fresh blood soaked ground, and the remnants of the carcass not even totally stripped to white bone, and a lot of hair/fur all over the ground.

We have a lot of deer coming right down into the fields all around us, and I've seen many boar so plentiful supplies of food.

Sent pic to my friend and he confirmed wolves.
