Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Children's Snowsports Books!

Hi all,

I wanted to talk about the lack of children's fiction books in the world of snowboarding and skiing. I had a daughter just over two years ago and in readiness for prepping her to be the next Mia Brookes, I wanted to find some snowboarding themed books to read to her to get her interested. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot out there. So during my snowboard trip last year I decided to write my own! I then asked my wife whether she wanted to team up and she could do the illustrations and bring the story to life! 12 months later, we now have a short story for children that will hopefully inspire them to start making some tracks and get shredding!

My wife has also written a brilliant ABC learning book for children teaching them the alphabet and lots of snowsports terminology.

We had Cyril the Snowboarding Squirrel, and I know there's another one out there called Monty the Marmot (always apply animal alliteration).
