I hope I am not breaking any rules by postint this. Our product targets anxious, nervous, apprehensive, or downright terrified skiers, whether it's your first or umpteenth time attempting a change.

@alan_1951, it's generally polite to drop @admin a PM if you're looking to promote a commercial venture on the site, and ideally to have some reason why it is to everyone's advantage (a discount code for snowheads is probably a good start).
It is however frowned upon to post the same thing in different sections of the forum, so I've removed your duplicate post.

@alan_1951, Not sure nodding off prior to strapping on skis is a good idea . . .CBD oil or the illegal substitute may be more effective . .

Belch.. If you or anyone really thought that listening to this before "strapping on a pair of skis" was a good idea then maybe a different sport would be appropriate.

I’d try it but I’d like a sample first as I find some hypnotherapist’s voices or music background way too distracting for my adhd and then I don’t get into the trance

@alan_1951, it's great to see solutions being offered for skiers dealing with fear and anxiety. Hypnosis can be an effective tool, but another natural option that some anxious skiers find helpful is CBD oil. Many people use it for relaxation and stress management, which can be particularly beneficial when facing challenging slopes. Unlike THC, CBD won’t make you drowsy or impair coordination—just a subtle way to take the edge off those pre-run jitters.
Here is a good french site: https://www.lemarcheducbd.fr/
That said, I’d be curious to hear from anyone who has tried both hypnosis and CBD for skiing anxiety—do they complement each other? Or does one work better than the other?
By the way, @alan_1951, have you considered incorporating CBD into your approach, or are you strictly focused on hypnosis? Either way, good luck with getting your advertising sorted!

I find the idea of people skiing under the influence of CBD oil quite disturbing, actually. It's still illegal to drive after using it, isn't it? I really don't think I want even more out of control, DGAF skiers on the mountain, TYVM.

@Chaletbeauroc, there is no active ingredient in CBD, it is removed. I take capsules for osteo arthritis...works wonders

True ... but so can high amounts of caffeine, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, passion fruit (somewhat oxymoronically, it contains a mild soporific), thinking about work, thinking about your upcoming divorce/house-move, an overfull bladder and so on and so on.
I think that's why legislation is mostly centred around psychoactive ingredients. For the rest, the usual caution/commonsense approach is needed.

Yes but. If you're taking it in sufficient quantities to give any sort of relaxation then it is, by definition. having an effect.
How much is not clear, and it may be similar to the well-proven idea that many people ski better after a mid-morning vin chaud, but I'd hesitate to recommend either of them as a general solution to nerves.

I wasn't arguing that it didn't have an effect ... I was just pointing out that so do many other factors that are not regulated.
Alcohol is also an interesting one; it does have a positive effect on performance, upto a certain amount, on 'sports' such as darts and snooker !
