Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Best resort during Easter close to Milan?

Hello

I'm planning a long weekend during Easter (30 March - 1 April) with some friends. We want to do some skiing, walks, relax and sightseen.

We are starting from Milan and would like to travel maximum 3/3.30 hours by car (each way).

Do you have any suggestion of where to go? We are also conscious of the fact this year is really warm, so we would have to go somewhere at a high altitude I guess.

We went to Cervinia/Zermatt last year and it was great, but we'd like to try something else. Some people suggested around Sestriere but I've been reading horrible reviews of its management over the last few years.

Normally Montgenevre. Haven't checked the snow conditions there this year. It usually gets more snow than Sestriere.
