Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chamonix is a mountain town with skiing rather than a ski resort. I learned to ski there and it is fine for beginners. It's much more limited for people who have skied a week and want to explore the mountain a bit more. But there is more than enough at Brevent/Flegere and le Tour to hold the interest of someone who is just starting out.

She may want to talk to the ski school she is booked with about what pass she needs. Doubtful she will need the Mont Blanc Unlimited. Can probably get away with a cheaper pass.

Skiing aside, Chamonix is an incredible place and has scenery and an atmosphere unlike anywhere else in the Alps.

Wouldn’t it have been easier and more practical to just get your daughter to join Snowheads, do her own research and read all this herself than you doing it for her?

Please Dave, Molly is American. Mandy is English and a lot more sensible given the acronym in question.
