Afternoon, just booked a long weekend in Samoens next month, would love some decent restaurant recommendations please and thank you!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

I will leave it to others to recommend restaurants in Samoens itself as I haven't been there for a while. However on the slopes I'd highly recommend Chalet D'Clair and L'Igloo in Morillon (both run by the same family I believe)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Best restaurant by far is 8m des Monts on the square. And Tartines de Martine is great if you're about when it's open...

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

8m des Monts is no more. Owners have sold. Now Le petit clarine. Looks like a typical savoyard menu so unlikely to be one of the best.
I put L'Estanco and Table de Fifine at the top of the Samoens list. Def not Savoyard. L'Estanco very modern design and Fifine delivers alpine atmosphere in spades. Personally never like the *m room very much. Relais Septimontain is pretty good. Canette does great burgers but probably best as takeaway.
A lot of people like Mezzanine. Serac is great for fondue, pizza and pasta. Very good value and great atmosphere and run by the inimitable Ling. You must book in advance as it always very busy.

On the mountain we had lunch at La Luge on the Dahu blue run down from Têtes des Saix. It was excellent and the service there was spot on. This was 2020 if I recall correctly so can’t say if it’s still good.

Montana 1842 (between Tete de Saix and 1600) is well regarded by some - book ahead on weekends, should be fine mid week.

I was at the Luge 2 weeks ago and recommend it. The Igloo at Morillon is my favourite but L’Aero at Samoëns 1600 is also good but hard to find.
