Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lech Zurs: ski hire and ski school advice?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi, first time skiing at Lech, and after advice on ski hire: Mixed bag of advanced and intermediate, adults and children. If possible somewhere I can leave skis overnight.
Also after advice on ski schools for a young teen...
And finally, any other general advice on where to go food and runs!
Many thanks!

Sportalp is best for ski hire with overnight storage. Right by the main 4 man chair in town

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@pencain, yes, Sportalp is best imo too. And even slightly better priced than Intersport.
But it also depends on the location of your accomodation. Where are you staying?
Skischool: I would go with largest (Skischule Lech) as it gives best flexibility to find a nice suitable group.
Food: what do you like?
Pistes: too much to mention!

@pencain, Just about all of Lech is a pleasure to ski. Ruffikopf to Zurs is doable for mixed groups, Muggengrat Tali run is fun, as is the Madlochjoch to Zug. A trip across to Warth is well worth it via Auenfeldjet.

Strolz shopping is not cheap, but an eye opener for the "Harvey Nichols" of the Alps. Ski hire is pricey in most of Lech, so do your homework on the web first.

Enjoy your skiing.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Hi all thanks for your answers (apologies for not getting back earlier- caught that rubbish flu going around!)
