We have a booking with them and it all looks legit - loads of reviews, good website, social media etc. but we have just checked and the chalet we booked is still available even though we have paid the deposit. Anyone used them before?

They replied to our enquiries saying the chalet is still available. We called and they said it was a mistake

One of my worst nightmares would be double bookings. That's why I use a channel management software to synchronise bookings on all channels, e.g. someone makes a booking on airbnb it instantly marks it as unavailable on our own website and booking.com.
The website you mention appears to be an agency selling other peoples' properties, which may rely on the individual operators to ensure availability is updated, so it may not be actually their fault...

We used them in February 2020, had no problem. Easy to contact by phone or email and quick to reply to emails.

We went with one called Octorate, having explored quite a few options. Not necessarily the slickest of those we looked into, but by far the cheapest for the functionality it offers, which includes website hosting and creation.
