Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Christmas week - Montgenevere, Avoriaz or Les Saisses

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Unfortunately due to school and work, we can only travel Christmas week (I.e. 21-28 Dec 2024).

I've shortlisted between the 3. My kids will be 6 & 8yo, and only skiied once (1 week lesson with ESF) in 2021. I'm as good as a novice despite private lessons, and my husband can ski anything up to Black. However this trip he wants to be able to ski with the kids too after their ski classes.

Between the 3, which would
1. Have the best conditions for Christmas week?
2. Be the least crowded?
3. Be the most French?

Thank you!
Or if there are some smaller less crowded ski resorts that would fit the 3 criteria, I'd be happy to check them out too.

My view:

1. Christmas week you are hoping for the best, it is early season everywhere except the very highest resorts. Of those 3 Avoriaz is highest so safest bet, but the others both have a decent reputation for snow cover.
2. French resorts tend to be less crowded in Christmas week than New Year (very crowded!) Of the three I would guess Montgenevre might be best simply because further from Paris.
3. Probably Les Saisies since the others are served by British tour operators.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Darn it's a tie. I guess least crowded is probably priority. Hoping the Brits stay home for Christmas then
