Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Longer ladies ski jackets?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
As per the title my wife would like something longer length - perhaps down to above height of knee.

Not sure how practical that could be movement wise though I've seen one or two skiing with longer length.

Any recs/thoughts?

I've got a lovely longer Columbia ski jacket. Bought it last season, I think it was called the bindo2. I have always wanted a longer jacket, I'm not sure why they think women want a jacket cut so short you get a cold bottom. Skied in it last year and have been using it as a winter coat, love the extra length and didn't find movement restricted.

@craigjam, those jackets do look good - great length. And though I don't need a jacket right now, the brightly coloured base layers caught my eye - might treat myself to some of those for summer sailing expeditions.

Generally snowboard-specific jackets will be longer (esp. in the back), with an integrated snow skirt that also protects from draughts.

I bought a mountain warehouse alaskan women 3 in one coat for my latest trip. Travelling long haul to California I was looking for flexibility. Though I did not ski in it I was out and about on the ski slopes and see no reason why it would not work for the type of skiing I would do. The ability to zip up from the bottom is super useful.

Was about to recommend these too. My OH bought one last year because she wanted something longer.
