Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski school for teens Les Gets

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Can anyone recommend a ski school for a 13 year old boy who likes jumping anything he can and going fast? Apparently cruising across the mountains with his parents is lame. We are there half term, first available day to ski is Monday. Struggling to find a school with availability that teaches jumps and tricks. Thanks.

Should add, the boy in question has about 16 weeks skiing under his belt and is happy on easier blacks and all reds. He is faster than me now, but would benefit from some polish to his technique.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@pandora, I have ended up switching to a couple of private lessons so mine can work at their level as yours sounds like my eldest.

What worked absolutely the best was lastnyear where we booked same place as several other snowheads with similar ability teens, so the other times eldest was off with them skiing as a group and had the best time. They really missed that this year.

Good luck in your search

A private (or very small group) lesson with TSI or BASS in Les Gets sounds about right.

I only ever stick my 3 (all similar ability close in age) in the same private lesson with TSI. If you end up contacting TSI, have a Frank conversation with Sally to explain exactly what you’re after and she’ll say if she has the right instructors available for your needs.

Should have also said… another good thing about BASS and TSI is that they start/finish up at the Grand Cry area, so you aren’t in a scrum with the big ski schools at the start/end of the lessons!

I'd add LGS ski school who are fab. My kids both had lessons with them for years.
