Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Heads up robust ski-pole touring / off-piste or just a good pole

Bought this for my daughter yesterday for Xmas and really impressed at the quality, for the price!

Foam goes a long way down the pole, which is the fashion/functionality nowadays of skiing gripping the pole lower down in more technical terrain etc

Not too sure about availability in the UK but if you know you'll be passing a Decathlon store in France you could always order in advance for delivery to that store, or just visit on the chance they might have them in stock.

Yes those are good poles.

They seem to have copied the fashionable Batons d'Alain to some textent. These poles are the current fad among the kool kids but the Decathlon poles seem to tick the same boxes. Although you'll not be a kool kat.

Now can't think who that I ski with often has bought some of those, and someone else on here as well Laughing

And just use a couple of stickers to cover the branding, though my daughter will be unaware hopefully, though she is well up to speed on Fashion etc as two of her biggest clients are what all the kool kids wear Very Happy

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

One of the main reasons I bought batons d'alain was the one-piece factor, seen so many 2 piece poles fail and with the generous foam grip covering almost 2/3 of the pole, no need to adjust length........
Obviously cool factor may have come into play....... Laughing

I have 2-piece telescoping poles, but find myself reaching for the most worn, well loved old poles most of the time.
