Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Verte et Termini

An interesting change to the Tignes / Val d'Isere piste map this year and on the ground is that the infamous Verte is now no more and is now the lower part of Diebold. A final acceptance of the poor piste grading. However, the green mogul field at the top of Borsat still lives!

@stevew, indeed ..and it was still carnage last week. Its still verte at the section above the Folie according to piste signage. Borsat moguls were pretty small

The title translates as "Verte and Termini". The post makes reference to a piste previously called Verte, is there a piste called Termini?

Perhaps @stevew meant to say "Verte est terminé" Smile

And being really picky on the new piste map the top section is La Verte and they seem to have lost the Mont Blanc green run but I didn't go that far over to be able to confirm if that's the case

I've got an old map out to compare. Diebold always ran from top to bottom of Funival. Above La Folie it's unchanged, but as you say, below the Folie it now runs along the route of the old Verte. It used to follow the same route as OK, until it crossed what was Verte, where the routes split. This final section is now a red named Les Gamelies.

The section just above the Folie was reprofiled a couple of years ago to make it easier to get to Tommeuses (IIRC Steve Angus mentioned in one of his summer updates)

I don't remember a run called Mont Blanc. Was it not all just part of Verte in that area?

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I'm not sure in what world the shortnsection.at the top of Borsat is green.

To a beginner or nervous skier it must look like Corbetts.

It used to be "lower" than Verte, it actually last appeared on the 21/22 piste map
