Poster: A snowHead

Getting excited, we are off to Tignes on the 12th Dec! Looks like plenty of snow.
We are staying in Les Boisses 1800. Looking at the Interactive Map, the lifts over that area arn't open yet. Does anyone know when they are due to open?
Im hoping we dont have to get the bus from 1800 to Le Lac...

They always say it's dependent on snow coverage. The resort opening is always phased. Given there's snow down to 1550, I'd be surprised if they're not opening to at least 1800 pretty quickly. A lot of it will depend on how many people are wanting to use it though....e.g. if there's no one staying down in 1800 yet then the buses will have plenty of capacity and it saves operating lifts, as much piste maintenance etc.....once people start arriving (I'd imagine from this weekend onwards) then they'll want it open.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My bets on a progreesive opening from late next week, all open by Sat 16th if snow allows.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

We were speaking to the new co proprietor of Lo Soli last week and he mentioned opening on Saturday 9 December so I expect that’s because more lifts in that area are scheduled to open.

Thanks for the replies! Looks like I should be OK for Les Boisses on Thursday next week then (our 1st day skiing)!

@Mike Winter, the app has not been entirely reliable over the last two weeks, and, the lifts to Boisses were not running today (Sat 9th), there was a substantial line of skiers at the bus stop. However, other _runs_ were open today (e.g. Epaulet, Germain Mattis) that had closed so far... they might wait until the World Cup excitement has died down....
