When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Bronze vs Silver for Intermediate Standard

Hi,

I’m due to go to Chamonix (yey!) again for a couple of days in Feb. I’m researching hire and wonder if it’s worth getting silver rather than bronze skis (basic). I’ve had both in the past but I didn’t get the impression when I collected them they even checked what standard I ordered - they simply gave me a set from a big pile. Do the shops def give silver if you pay and is it worth the extra for a pretty rubbish skier like me.

Yeah I’m not sure the £10 difference will go far towards a lesson Little Angel

I’m staying in Chamonix, near the main drag… Chamonix is amazing value for a cheeky weekend (flight, transfer and Airbnb £300 each - 2 of us in a apartment )

I was looking at skimium, I used them last year and they are cheapest.
