Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Plagne

La Plagne......how bad is it going to be during Feb half term (we are going 15th-20th Feb).

I used to go to Belle Plagne as a child but don't remember the craziness of La Plagne and the fear of constant queuing is starting to hit me.

Also, any recommendations for private lesson ski schools?

It’s fine If you get out and go high before ski schools start - ie before 09:30
Eat before 12:30 and ski through the French 2 hour lunch break.
Do not get caught in Bellecote at 2.00pm
Or after 4pm then you will see massive queues.

Best private ski school is Lime Snowsports but they will probably be full for half term already.
The rest really depends on which of the 12 villages you are based in
Oxygene are very good but don’t cover all villages

We have booked accommodation at Ho36 in La Plagne but have also looked at Montalbert as there is a nice accomodation there for less. Do ski schools use Montalbert with the nursery slope at the top of the Montalbert lift?

@wyattjnr,
Montalbert does indeed have 2 beginners areas at the top of the Gondola and 0ne in the centre of the village, Montalbert has a very good ESF private lessons over the lunch 2 hours which are very popular, most instructors speak very good English.

Had to Google Ho36, I see its in La Plagne Centre which gives you the option of Lessons with Oxygen who have a very good reputation and a central meeting point.

wyattjnr, you would do better moving all your La Plagne queries over to the long-running La Plagne 2023/2024 thread
