Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thin compression socks

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Last season I bought a pair of Sidas Ultrafit ULV socks in VT which took about 2mm off my foot width and made my terrible boot fit a little more comforable before I bought new boots the next day.
This season, I'm still sorted, however my Wife will be skiing too. I've tried to find the same socks online for her (her boot fit isn't good either, and she's had several years off, with injury which stopped her skiing last season) but without success for UK delivery.

So, can I have some recommendations please for decent thin compression socks please?

@chrisValTho, I'll get back to you next week when I'm back in the Mountains as I can't find what mine are, they are very very thin. and are a compression sock.

I thought that they were Dynafit, but I seem to recall I paid silly money for them, and looking around, even their most expensive sock is not as much as I paid Puzzled

They were sold by the local Boot Doctor/Osteopath/Chiropractor who did me a great deal on the fitting so I sort of went ahead with the socks.

Mine were stupid expensive as well (€50), and look like they could be had for €15 less online than in-resort, but struggling with delivery to UK Sad

I've had good luck with X-Bionic X-Socks, and while I apprecipate the company is often a triumph of marketing over function, they work for me.

I've had a variety and find that these are as good and durable as any compression socks for skiing.

I like the Smartwool Zero Cushion socks, which are more like £20 to £25. I don't think they explicitly market them as compression socks, but I find they compress as much as other compression socks

I have same problem with a tight boot fit,and use decathlon silk sock liners - about the thickness of a regular ‘dress’ sock. Quite robust, and not too expensive
