Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

38F intermediate skier looking for buddies/group to join Dec 22nd - Jan 5th.

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi ski friends,

I'm a 38F genuine intermediate skier looking for buddies or to join a group at late notice. Hoping for some of the higher French resorts or Arlberg Valley Austria.
I'm a genuine intermediate and can tackle any piste difficulty and ski at a reasonable pace, my fitness is off this year so I won't be going too hard.
I'm friendly and easygoing, probably 50/50 wanting to socialise and chill on the sofa with a book. I'll have a drink or two here and there and one party not but am not up for drinking everyday.

Would love to meet like minded skiers and have an awesome time!

Megan

Slightly curious as to what 38F stands for - is it a size, boot fitment.... Puzzled

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Which is why you should always be under supervision of an adult, though where you would find one on here I don't know. Smile

@MeganLily,

If you go to Val d'isere there is a large number of skiers who are happy for anyone to join them to ski and socialise. I won't be there until the 7th of January.

If you book somewhere to stay in Val d'isere I can send you information about how to find them. If you need help finding somewhere to stay in Val d'isere contact Kim of "Simply Val d'isere" she will probably find somewhere for you.

Are you looking for some time between those dates? Or the whole period? Friday - Friday over two of the busiest weeks of the season is not likely to work.

@MeganLily,

No it's not a group on this forum although a number of us read this forum.

More than 50 of the Val d group spend the whole ski season in Val d. Some of them own places others rent for the season. I go there for 4 weeks each winter. Lots of other holiday makers join in with the group while there.

@MeganLily,

Kim Rippin lives in Val d'isere and she can help you find accommodation and other things:-

https://www.simplyvaldisere.com/

The group I ski with in Val d has a "Whatsapp" group but I will only ask them to include you if you manage to arrange your stay there.

As mentioned earlier the best company for transfers is "Snowdrone Transfers" who do shared transfers. It's owned/run by one of the Val d group.

https://snow-drone.com/about/

By the fact there are so many there for the whole season basically tells you that there are a lot of retirees and self employed from all sorts of backgrounds in the group.

I'll send you a "Private Message" with another possible contact for accommodation.
