OK this will probably sound a really stupid question, but what actually is a "bowl" as I keep seeing referred to?
Its not something I've ever heard about until now for some reason
Example being - Taynton Bowl - Panorama

Tends to be a North American term (at least on lift maps) encompassing anything which has slopes on multiple aspects running to a common point not necessarily that steep. The European equivalent terms are corrie, cwm, cirque which imply something steeper.
