Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Off-piste in Mühlbach am Hochkönig

Poster: A snowHead
Hi. Its good to see snow falling on the Salzberg web cams.

What's the off-piste like at Mühlbach am Hochkönig? I'm hoping for lots of easily accessible Blue/Red off-piste (open fields or trees) without too much hiking.

From the Skifix.co.uk website:
Ski Routes are marked but unprepared areas for Freeriders. They are checked for avalanche danger, so if they’re open on the piste map, you know they're safe. The Hochkönig is one of the best places for ski touring and freeriding, there is so much accessable, undeveloped terrain available for the adventure skier.

The following Ski Routes can be found in the Hochkönig region:
Ski Route Perme: slope no. 12, start: mountain station Abergalmbahn
Ski Route Grießbachhütte: Piste No. 17, Start: Abergalmbahn mountain station
Ski Route Schreinerloch: slope no. 20, start: Bergstation Abergalmbahn
Ski Route Fasching-Hochmais: From the Fasching lifts to the Hochmaisbahn in Hinterthal
Ski route Sonnleiten-Hochmais: From the Sonnleiten lift to the Hochmais lift in Hinterthal

Having been there, the Aberg area is the best for easy access off piste (Ski routes and between the pistes). Whether it fits the Blue/Red category..... Probably a bit steeper than that.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Much thanks.

The place we are looking at is in Mühlbach which i can see at the opposite end. Not looking for gnar off-piste - got one in the group who is not quite there. Side of runs and between runs is what we are really looking for.
