Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

St Gervais Lift Pass and Lessons

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello
Me and the family are heading to St Gervais, early Feb , for a short week, hoping for 5 days skiing.

I have seen a deal online for buying daypasses in advance, which offers some decent savings. Even though it is the Evasion pass, it is marketed as a Megeve deal, and seems to only allow you to collect the passes from lift stations etc in the Megeve area.
As we are staying near the bottom of the gondola in St Gervais I presume this rules it out for us, unless anyone knows of any easy way around this? Which doesn't involve more work and faffing than the saving is worth? We won't have a car.

Seems a shame when it is the same lift pass.

Also, can anyone reccomend a good company/ instructor who would be good for my wife and kids to share a few private lessons with?
I have tried BASS after seeing good comments on here but unfortunately they are fully booked.

Many thanks

@Brooky, I don't know what you are looking at, I think the Evasion Mont Blanc consists of several different lift companies collaborating and it isn't impossible there are some deals not universally available.

The St G site for early booking offers is here: https://www.ski-saintgervais.com/en/h3-tarifs-promos?utm_source=email&utm_campaign=Bons%20plans%20Hiver%2023-24_Saison%20acheteurs_EN&utm_medium=email&utm_id=92

While BASS is highly regarded for English speaking instructors, the local ESF isn't bad for private lessons though in all cases it depends on who you get.

It looks as if Megeve are joining the dynamic pricing brigade for passes bought at least 3 days in advance so cheaper rates are available on certain days depending on demand.

If you had a car it would be easy to get there from St Gervais or you could just buy your first day's pass from St Gervais and then ski over to pick up your passes for the rest of your stay.
