 Poster: A snowHead
|
Afternoon!
Looking for recommendations please.
When: Easter 2024
Who: family of 4.
Parents intermediate / advanced skiers / snowboarder + 2 kids who have skied before age 11 & 7.
Preference to be as close to piste / lifts / ski school meet ups
Love to have pool &/or hot tub
Obvs as it’s Easter Prefer to be high / as snow sure as possible
Not bothered if catered or self catered, chalet, apartment or hotel.
Last time we went skiing as a big group, self catered in chalet Nichol in La Tania with Tony & Julie McMahon of Family Ski. And kids had fabulous lesssons with Matt and Chris of SnowLimits.
Snow Limits and FamilY Ski we’re both brilliant. I highly recommend.
However OH does not want to do another holiday like that as he is a do-er and ends up doing more than his fair share.
So this time we need catered or self catering but just us!!
I’ve looked at Club Med Peisey-Vallandry and I’m tempted. But conceded if ESF are any good there. (Poor experience previously and an absolute fabulous experience with Snow Limits who were excellent with my free spirited and independent kids!!!!)
So. Any recommendations would be really appreciated!

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Obertauern would be a good shout. It's high and will have as good a snow as anywhere in the Alps. Ischgl also but not ski in and ski out but that's not really an issue there

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks. Who would you recommend as a travel agent? Or do you have specific accommodation in mind that could be booked direct?

Tignes Le Lac? Terrific pool and sports centre. Endless high altitude skiing. Plenty of non-ESF ski schools. Don't know it well enough to recommend specific ski in/out accommodation.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Hameau Kashmir, VT would tick all the boxes. Also recommend Roc Belle Face in Arcs 1600 for a cheaper option - esf at 1600 used to have very good rates for private instructors too. Done both several times at Easter, would go with the former on balance for a swankier experience, better location wrt the skiing, and extra bit of snow sureness.

@pam w, Tignes Le Lac for an easy stroll to the pool.
Also Les Arc 1800 has a great pool/sports centre.
