Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chamonix at Christmas

Hi, I'm a solo skier and was just wondering if Chamonix is still snowsure/worthwhile during the early season as I know it is heavily off piste focused, and since I am solo will likely stay on piste. Also, I'm assuming it's very crowded during Christmas in comparison to the swiss resorts?

@newyawk1234, not very overcrowded, in the main. Not as off piste focused as many believe. I'm not sure what you mean about "snow sure"? Pretty sure barring one dreadful xmas that we've been able to ski most xmases in the last 20 years?
