Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Anyone used Espirit 1:1 nanny? (Val d’Isere)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We have booked to travel to Val D’Isère for New Year and will be travelling with our 7 month old daughter. After missing out on the slopes last year I was keen to get back to it and have booked a 1:1 nanny for the week through Espirit Ski (we are staying Hotel Ducs De Savoie).

However now I am seriously nervous about leaving the baby and I’m wondering if I’ve made a terrible mistake Eh oh! We have no family available for childcare so that’s not an option. Has anyone had any experience of using this service? TIA

Esprit Ski is not a new company, they have been providing ski holidays with childcare for 40 years.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Apsr2, welcome to Snowheads snowHead - I haven’t used Esprit myself, but have had many clients who have, both 1-1 nannies and in the nursery setup. All were very happy with the quality of care, and experience/qualifications of the staff. I can quite understand your trepidation in leaving the baby with ‘strangers’ but feel Esprit are a good choice. Duc de Savoie is a very nice property too.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Welcome to SHs, @Apsr2, and to motherhood (assuming this is your first baby). If she will be 7 months old in the new year she must be very tiny now. She won't feel quite so new and vulnerable by then, and you will have been out and about with her more. It does all get easier. If you are breastfeeding, just make sure she's used to drinking from a bottle too. It's a good age to take a baby away because she won't be mobile. Things get harder once they are.

Apsr2 - as others have said they are a well known company etc and well used to dealing with situations like this. Also thanks to Kenzie - but I dont know enough the particular set up in this property having read the other thread too about this to give any more advice apart from they must have considered this situation already so hopefully won't be a massive issue either way.
