Anyone who has been to the Heidelbergerhutte above Ischgl (popular for ski touring, mountain walking even mountain biking) will have seen the Fluchthorn, it is the highest peak thereabouts. The slide was on the Jamtal side I guess not far from the track from the Jamtalhutte up to the Kronenjoch, which when not being bombarded with tons of rock is a pleasant walk.

Went ski touring up the Flucthorn in Apr 2014. Bet it looks a lot different up there now.
