(btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ortovox Avabag Canister refill/swap places in UK

Based in the UK (London). I am considering a purchase of an AVABAG unit and would like to understand how the refill/swapping of canisters work, as I cannot find any reliable information online.

The reason I am going for AVABAG is because of budget - I already got gifted a Freerider 22 backpack (no unit), so I want to use it. I am only concerned that it will be difficult to find a place to do the canisters once used. Also, with the new Ortovox electric bags, I wonder if in a couple of years it will be even harder to service the bags with gas canister.

Also are all canisters carbon ?

Noble Custom are the UK distributor for Ortovox.
They can provide and exchange canisters.
You can normally find retailers in resort who can exchange them as well.
They come carbon as standard with the AVA bags.
