Poster: A snowHead

It seems everyone who stocks Hertel Super hot sauce, my fave ski wax, has sold out, and everyone else has a mental belief I will give them silly money for a 28g bar.
Before I fork out £60+ quid for 350-ish grams from the US via Amazon, anyone got any recommendations for alternatives? Super speed isn't an issue at my age, but a wax that lasts well (6-8 skiing days), is a true universal on and off piste, and is good for all temps ( though favouring cold temps is good for me). I'm only interested in iron on wax.
If anyone has any other discussion about wax, go ahead in this thread, all good.

IMO the Dominator Zoom Lime Universal or the Dominator Zoom + Graphite is superior to Hot Sauce - not by much, but it edges it. Been selling it since the mid 2000's and use it on all my customers skis. Lots of snowHeads use it. Very wide snow temp operating range, great durability and excellent glide. Matched the performance of many super expensive specialist race waxes in the Race Place glide tests. Unfortunately the price has gone up quite a bit in the last year or two due to the poor £/$ rate (it's made in Utah) and the big hike in shipping costs post covid (wax is heavy). https://www.thepisteoffice.com/index.php/com-virtuemart/com-virtuemart-menu-categories/the-piste-office-store/wax-zardoz/results,13-32

@spyderjon, definately competetive pricing ( as long there isn't a postage hit). Does that wax have a good resistance to wear?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@thecramps, postage is charged at the checkout on my website and you can select either 1st class, 2nd class or Special Delivery. Or you can collect from my shop to avoid the postage.
Note that the large block of Zoom is 400g.
Graphite can stain coloured bases (and anything else you drip it on) - it's purely cosmetic but some people don't like it. I don't like it and my Whitedot skis annoyingly have one white base and one black base so I use the regular Lime. But if I had all black bases I'd probably use the graphite version as it has slightly better moisture repelling properties.

YOU too, are a rare breed. Comparatively few know or knew of Hertel - a 'secret" to many, inclusive of the US Ski Team who deny using same. I've used Hertel Hot Sauce since it came on market, back in NorCal a solid 45 years ago. Insanely superior, simple. The competing market is awash in lies, hype and mega dollars that Terry Hertel could never compete against. Glad I have a strong supply I've purchased/stockpiled over the years.
Go with the cheapest stuff you can get. It's all the same. Seriously. I will say that here in the USA, I mean the new dystopia USSA, over the past decade I've come to also appreciate so-called liquid "base boosts" as an over-coat, such as "Zardoz", above all in Spring.
