Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Chamonix social skiing/guiding

Does anyone know of any social skiing/guided groups that people can join in Les Houches/Chamonix? My husband is going there next week, Sat to Weds, and would like to ski in a group if possible but doesn’t really want to book in for lessons.

The only thing I know of is the SCGB's Instructor-Led Guiding, which i think is booked through Skibro in Chamonix. It's also available to non-members, but SCGB membership gets you a 50% discount, which might be worth paying for.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks very much for your reply - he will take a look at that - sounds really good.

@rolopolo1, "guiding" (i.e. off piste) or just skiing in a group? The latter? the SCGB thing doesn't look terrible. The former? Apparently you can join groups guided out of the Maison des Guides.

TBH the Chamonix pistes aren't complicated, at all.

He says probably not off piste so yes, just skiing in a group. It is more about having a bit of company I think rather than wanting to be shown around as he will be confident skiing on his own (just less fun). We will have a look at Maison des Guides anyway though - thank you very much.
