Does any have experience of successfully ordering from https://www.skihelmetshop.com/ - their prices are amazing - too good to be true? Got burned on an Xbox X during pandemic and this seems to have very expensive helmets at very low prices....

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It seems to have a very low rating on scam advisor and on trust pilot. It's a very new site registered in a country considered dodgy. The only review I found with a quick search said their money went to a place in Tanzania. Buyer beware!

Really appreciate the quick replies and forensics! Sadly, it is almost certainly a case of being too good to be true. I would have thought that ripping off ski helmets was a bit niche to really make a killing - even skis would be better as more expensive per unit, but again relatively low sales volumes I would imagine. Perhaps these websites are very quick and easy to build.

@Snowsartre, I think in general these fake sites just take your money and run rather that actually shipping fake brand-name products.

@Chaletbeauroc, 100% - my poorly expressed point was that there can't be that many people looking to buy ski helmets at any one time and that the price per unit to scam people would be higher on skis than ski helmets - eg send me your credit card details and I will sell you a pair of Stockli Montero for £350 as opposed to a Kask helmet for £97. It is crazy that credit card companies allow these scams - on the Xbox X example above, I phoned them 10 minutes later to say a scam, they agreed but had to give 6 weeks (maybe 4) for the goods to arrive - they didn't and the money was kept by scammer and paid for by mastercard (I was reimbursed) which is why cc are so expensive for retailers per transaction.
