Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I like looking at the J2 one as tends to give an idea of the snow line on forecast, it always seems to feel more positive than others as well Laughing

I use snowforecast.com as well but that only does 6 days out without paying to tend to look at both.

Yr.no seems to get good reviews, but when in France, I always keep an eye on meteo france.
Enjoy!

We refer to the forecasts as "reading the tea-leaves", seems to be about as accurate!

Also in Val Thorens next week so keeping an eye on the forecast. Seems all a bit finger in the air at the moment - suspect might be a right old mixed bag of weather for a few days. Arriving Sunday evening having driven down during the day - car being prepped for some potentially quite snowy conditions - winter tyres are on and chains packed. With four wheel drive to boot hoping we have everything covered !!

@LeanneLlew, as many as possible basically. I look at snow-forecast, Bergfex, Yr.no, j2ski, the squiggles charts. Gives me a nice mix of the different models, and it's only when they align that I particularly believe it's true.

@Griggs, I'd say drive in could be challenging, but skiing thereafter should be excellent

@8611 - Yep I agree. Slow and steady and hopefully we will be alright with the 4WD and Winter tyres on all four wheels.
