Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Going Lech this Friday. Any tips for best apres ski bars?Only ever done day trips from St Anton before and only stayed in the village for a couple of drinks and then got cab back.This was 12 odd years ago.

If you only wish to have a drink, standing on the sidewalk because the place is heavily packed on sunny days after 15:00, Tannbergerhof outdoors.
Waiting in line to enter Krone outdoor terrace is better in my opinion - warm atmosphere, better music (including Avicii, Abba and Pat Benatar) and a chance to look at upper crust's ski outfits and tweeds (well, some of the attendees, we were proudly wearing our Ziener and Fenix
)
If you cross the bridge, Skihütte Schneggarei for a pizza sitting inside or a Jaegerbomb outside watching skiers returning to town.

Rud-Alpe - just above the Village. Ski down afterwards.
Kriegeralpe - higher up but you can also ski down afterwards.
Schneggerai - in Village. Where the ski school instructors go.
Not sure I'd go back to the Hotel Arlberg. We went there as there was live music one evening. Music was superb (female singer was as good as Alanis Morissette). However €76 for 4 glasses of wine was out of my budget!
