Poster: A snowHead

Looking to sell an avalanche airbag, I know people in the UK sell cylinders, but anyone know how they are shipped, or what UK service would accept a cylinder for shipping?
Cheers,
Greg

Shipped an old airbag complete with detached gas cylinder via Royal Mail a couple of weeks ago. Didn’t have any issues.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

The go to used to be UK Mail, but they seem to have disappeared/been absorbed into DHL. Your best bet is probably one of the man with a van type services, who'll probably take anything, as they are usually a point to point service with no warehouse processing.
As documented on another thread, I nearly lost an empty cylinder with Royal Mail/Parcel Force.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Never occurred to me that there would be an issue. No one in the post office asked about the parcel.

Seems to be a few on eBay, shipping included.... Either eBay's preferred shipping or ( I guess) using Evri or similar. Packed well, should not be a problem?

@kitenski, don’t use UPS if posting to an address outside the uk. They are terrible for trans border shipping.

@hamilton, it's not about the packing, it's wether the courier will accept it, ie Royal Mail won't and if anything were to happen........
