Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

[Sorted]Lift from Lyon (or Grenoble) to Les Deux Alpes 4 March needed

 Poster: A snowHead

I am booked with BA to arrive at Lyon at 1105 on 4 March. Plan was to go on Bens Bus to Lus Deux Alpes. Turns out that the latest time of aircraft arrival they are catering for is 1030.

No problem for that surely? Train to Grenoble then Trans Altitude bus to LDA. Except that bus after bus is shown as full - I could get in late evening but I would have to wait for hours at Grenoble.
So take a Blabla bus? Can't do that either, I arrive to late for their last bus.

Yes I did goof not checking the entire chain before booking the fight - but I didn't imagine that Bens Bus would not cater for a plane leaving Heathrow at 0825. Lesson learnt.

So ... long shot. Could anybody going from Lyon Airport (or maybe Grenoble) and going to Les Deux Alpes include me in their car on the trip? I would be bringing a 20Kg bag and a pair of skis with me. Obviously I would pay for a share of cost.

Have been advised that VFD will get me by local busses from Grenoble to Les Deux Alpes with a change at Bourg d'Oisans - so problem solved.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Unless you are lucky with the trains you may find the airport bus to Grenoble a better option.
Bear in mind that unlimited strikes are scheduled from the 7th March - for example this Thursday there was a strike of air traffic control that cancelled a lot of flights.

@davidof, thanks, the bus service from LYS to Grenoble Gare Routière was good last time I used it; I'll book that.
