Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A snowHead
Hi all,
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this thread, but I am making my way to France for the first time towards the end of February. Sport 2000 look to be the most convenient place for us to book skis but I can't for the life of me figure out which website I should be booking on. There are two websites (https://ski-hire-sport2000.co.uk/rent and
https://www.sport2000rent.com/)
but each shows a different price. Please could someone advise which website is correct and if one is a scam?
Thanks

Theyre the same, you got a lot of price variations - you could also book through
snowbrainer
or alpineresorts - these might give you more of a saving - just book your insurance direct with the shop on collection and check the shop is the closest to your accomodation - a basic thing but I have done it and booked skis from a shop a bit away - not the end of the world but bloody annoying.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thank you Yellow Snow, much appreciated.

Just to add, I booked the sport 2000 l'ours blanc in alpe d'huez at the new year via
alpinresorts
and had no issues. Had a nice saving compared to going direct, but still got the level of skis I booked when looking at the skis they offer on their website. Would highly recommend.
