My other half managed to split his relatively new Arcteryx ski pants up the crotch (!) today. Apart from sending them back to Arcteryx for repair, which would be an option if their website would work, does anyone know of any places that specialise in repairing goretex around the above locations please? We're in Aosta for 6 weeks then Tignes til the end of the season. Might be quicker and easier to drop them in in person than rely on the Italian postal system... Thanks!

@BlueSky, was it a "repairable" tear? I.e. will Arc do anything about it? (How old were they?) Odd thing to do...
Technique extreme in Chamonix (and I am sure many many other places) sell repair tape ... which will only make them look more gnarly. Which is a good thing.
Pretty unimpressive however. My Marmot pants are beginning to look like they need replacement after 11 years use (and pretty heavy use at that...)

It's just the seam so should be stitchable I'd think (or perhaps a patch?). I don't think repair tape will cut it unfortunately. I'm trying to get hold of Arcteryx, which should be easy, but the button on their website that you press to start the process for repair isn't working for some reason and just takes you round in circles. The pants are about 3-4 years old and have had pretty heavy season-long use, but otherwise look pretty mint, so worth trying to repair I think.

@BlueSky, well, defo repair then! Cheap and cheerful interims? Some good looking outlets in Aoste? E.g. One at the Autoport beside Carrefour, one beside ScarpeeScarpe, Kappa in town maybe?

@BlueSky, if you can get to Chamonix I would recommend Anaïs Bricheux. I think that she carries out the repairs for Patagonia in Chamonix. She doesn't have a shop/drop off location. If you contact her and tell her what you need, if she can do it she will tell you the cost and arrange to collect the garment (in or around Chamonix).
When repaired she will arrange to drop the garment off. She may do post either way. Don't know.

She replaced the broken zip on a down jacket of mine last year. Fine and reasonably priced.
Don't let the other half deal with her in person. His knees may become a bit wobbly.
