Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Verona to Val Gardena Transfer. Any Recommends?

 Poster: A snowHead

We're a group of seven flying into Verona next month and heading up to the VG valley. I'm weighing up whether to hire a vehicle, or book a private transfer. My preferred option would be a private transfer. Has anyone any recommendations for a private hire transfer company operating out of Verona? TIA.

Sorry, can't help with transfers

I always pick up a hire car and drive, but then there's 4 of us, so we can fit in a normal car.

The 9 seater vans are usually prohibitively expensive, though I was given one once in Milan when they ran out of the SUV I booked.

Auto Europe have a VW Golf from Locauto (decent company) for £104 for 11th-18th Feb, so prices are back to normal in Italy.

You might need two, I guess, and some XS insurance, fuel and tolls. £20 fuel & £10 tolls each way per car. You may have annual XS insurance from a summer rental.

Will have snow chains in the boot, but I've never needed to fit them. Last year I was given a Golf with snow tyres in Verona, so you never know! snowHead

I've never done it (as a result of booking a package holiday) but there's a handy train line from Verona all the way to Bolzano, from where you could get the next public bus up to Selva/Val Vardena/Wolkenstein.

Verona Airport is connected to Verona train station via a Shuttle/Aerobus service that runs every 20 minutes (journey time 15 minutes). To locate the bus stop at the airport, see the terminal map at https://www.aeroportoverona.it/en/at-the-airport/terminal-maps.html

You can get train times at https://www.trenitalia.com/

Dunno if he'll go all the way down to Verona, but message Oswald on WhatsApp; +39 348 7451607

The train from Verona to Ponte Gardena then a taxi / bus up the hill would be a lot cheaper though.

Thanks guys. The 2x hire car looks like an option.
