Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Avoriaz - Midweek lessons?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi there,
We are looking to visit Avoriaz in April with our boys who have never skied before (4&6yrs). We plan to arrived Weds and leave the following Weds, so we would be looking for lessons on 6 days (Thursday-Tues).
I understand ski school is out of the question - does anyone recommend a private instructor or know a company that could cater for Thursday-Tuesday? My google searches haven't been too productive so hoping to take advantage of some local knowledge Happy
Thanks in advance!

I would recommend just ringing round the long list of ski schools or checking maison sport. For private instruction I suspect your problem will be less the mid week start and stop and more the fact that instructors were booked out some time ago for blocks in the school hols (and there are already fewer because so many are allocated to groups). I can’t find any private lessons in the morning either where we are going in April, ski school for the younger ones I booked in June rolling eyes hope you find something!

I have skied with some of these instructors and they are great https://thesnowinstitute.com/ski-lesson-prices/
Friends also used evo2, supreme, there are also the usual suspects ESF etc to try

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I can recommend alpiday https://www.alpidaymorzine.com/home. Was recommended them by others on here and they were excellent
