Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Decent SPF lip balm

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I know it’s not equipment but not sure where else to post…

Any recommendations for SPF lip balm that doesn’t dry your lips. I never struggle at home - maybe the odd dab of Vaseline if I’ve been out in cold, windy weather but whenever I use one of the ski balms with sun protection I end up with drier lips than not using it! Eh oh!Eh oh! ️ Currently got a Garnier UV ski one but had similar with various types including combi sticks.

Any help much appreciated!

I normally use one of those Lifesystems SPF50 / Lip Balm combos that I just keep in a pocket.

Works well in my experience, usually buy from outdoors shops in Edinburgh, but can probs get online.

I like PizBuin lip sticks. I find with the combos that one always run out long before the other.

I have a variety of ones but they are all rather old. In case they lose potency, yesterday I just went with the very cheap Boots Original (SPF 15). I like a Combi for the mountain, but there weren't any (It seems to have been dropped from the Soltan range)....and the Piz Buin from Amazon that I looked at, could take 4 weeks (but that has now changed).

I just got myself a couple of Nivea UV Sun Protect SPF30 Lip Balms, which have worked well for me in the past.
