Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Evlar,

Welcome to the forum.

It might be a good idea to give folk a clue where you are leaving from - presumably somewhere about 2 hours drive from the Channel Puzzled

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hmm. Driving off ferry about 12 noon local time? It's 10 hours solid non-stop driving. Probably more if it's wet and speed limit just below 70 mph. Looking for passengers with camel-style bladders and nerves of steel?

Both very good points guys! I'm leaving from winchester, but as stated in the title, can pick up on the southern part of the M25.

And Pam, yeah lol i'm aware its a big stint. There will be stops for bladders, but they wont be long Smile And i am a safe driver. I dont go much above 65. It is a big van, with winter tyres and all the safety mod cons.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Hi Evlar,

I'm already booked up for my trip this year (going to STA at the end of Jan) but I'd be interested next year if you plan doing something similar, and I'm looking to go back to Tignes next year - I've tried to get some friends interested in a drive down before but we always end up flying. My Danish friends drive down to the alps from Copenhagen etc. and have no problems with the journey

I live in Chandler's Ford so only 15 mins away from you

Hope you have a good trip anyway

Jay
