Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Discharging Scott Alpride E1 airbag before flying?

Kinda niche question...
Got the capacitor/ fan airbag system currently charged and sat waiting to be packed. In the past I've taken out the batteries, pulled the trigger to inflate the airbag and then repacked it dormant so to speak. Then next trip replaced the batteries and charged it up ready to go.
But the other day I pulled the trigger again after packing it and the damn thing inflated again ! Didn't realise the capacitor held that much charge.
Anyway, rather than repeatedly discharging and repacking the damn thing each time, can't I just turn it off, hide the handle and fly with it charged?
Done a search, but can't find the specific info. Anyone know?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, basically yes. FWIW I may have had mine checked once or twice in a dozen or so trips?

OK doke. I'll try leaving it charged and see what happens
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I think if you take the batteries out, it will discharge fairly quickly anyway –
Scott
seem to guarantee it will work for 6 hours – so make sure you remember to pack your charger as well. When I have left mine overnight without batteries, it has needed charging again before use, though note that this doesn’t mean there’s not enough power to inflate the airbag, though I wouldn’t risk going out without recharging, personally.
