Poster: A snowHead

Has anyone been here? What's it like? Is it full of thugs and posh people getting hammered on booze (if so, I'm not going)? Recommended hotels? Quality of skiing? Restaurants?
Thanks, Kevin

kevin mcclean, I think I pretty much covered it all in the review quoted above. Hotels - I think there are only 2 or 3, didn't go in them but they looked fairly typical french 2/3 star jobs. I didn't eat out too much and there were not that many restaurants mainly covering Savoie favourites and/or pizza's etc. There were a handful of boozy boarders (mainly dutch) but they seemed to confine themselves pretty much to the Grotte Yeti, didn't hear any plummy voices at all. Vast majority of the guests were french families.
The website is pretty informative. I'm off again next February half-term I enjoyed it so much.
brian, I'm more of a Stone Island Man myself actually. Do they do skiwear?

Thanks very much indeed! I might just go here. As for being 'filled in', I couldn't possibly offer an opinion.........

kevin mcclean, Sure you won't regret it, St Sorlin is a great little place. Probably best to go now as it's sure to get more commercialised. If you want to see what it looks like (albeit in the Summer) there is a stage of the Tour de France passing through there on 19th July, Eurosport should be showing it..
