I recently rented a used (1-2 year old) pair of the m5’s for the season, and the titanal frame is peeling off on the tail behind the binding. similar to this picture. Snow got under mine and made it much more severe. Was i too far in the back seat? Or did I land wrong off a side hit? I fell once but didn’t hit anything. Any help would be appreciated, as I’m nervous to take them back to the rental shop.

Unless there’s an obvious impact I’m not sure how they can blame you? Delam is usually a manufacturing fault

epoxy it back down and forget about it. Not much else to do. Skis are a tool to extract pleasure from snow and gravity, they'll still do that for you

@Mother hucker, he could take them back to the rental shop. Doesn't sound a great idea to start bodging skis that don't belong to him

Isn't it a moot point anyway ? Tge true cause that is.
At some point they'll have to go back to hire shop and they'll judge what has happened. There's likely something in the hire agreement that ask you to report fault, failure etc such that they can reasonably fulfill their liability to you in providing safe equipment in good condition to protect you from injury.
Do you have any insurance as part of hire for the equipment? Many shops offer this for eventuality of skis being written off for damage/loss during hire period, that is offered usually in Europe at point of contract.
