Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Where to Ski? Books Discount

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Currently a half price offer* on the Where to Ski guides by Chris Gill and Dave Watts. Separate editions covering France, Austria and Italy. In my opinion, a good way for winter sports people who don't know too much about the pros and cons of different countries/areas/mountains/resorts to pick valuable information up quickly. Helps to narrow down very long lists into shortlists. Easily accessible, independent, plenty of facts and frank with opinions. Not a bad stocking filler.

Just bought all 3. The last ‘all in one’ 2016 edition was getting a bit long in the tooth.

Great books but... the Good Book was fantastic. The directory held so many useful pointers to weird locations.

The new books are fabulous but those little sections about Gerardmer or Baraque de Fraiture or Mittenwald or Poiana Brasov or Winterberg... We might never see another book that even thinks about them. Sad but testament to the good work done.

@PrimroseAndBlue, newer versions of the country-specific editions do still have the directory (though only for the relevant country of course).
