Intermediate/advanced skier here.
3rd ski trip and planning to buy my first ski boots; any recommendations in or around London? I live quite close to Uxbridge for Ski Bartlett but also not inconvenienced to go to Covent Garden for the other two stores.

Ski Bartlett is great. Be prepared for a couple of trips if they don’t have the right boots in stock

+1 for Terry at Ski Bartlett; he really knows his stuff. In addition, if you live close, it is more convenient if there are any cancellations. I can drive to SB or Elizabeth Line/tube into Covent Garden but SB wins every time.
This said, definitely book something asap as they are very busy this time of year (it could be several weeks before an opening or if you can be there on short notice, give them your number for a cancellation during the week).

This was my initial thought as well, unless the first 2 trips were both for an entire season!

We also use Ski Bartlett. Definitely book and offer to take a cancellation. They are only open 5 days a week (closed tues/wed).
We're off there late today to drop skis off for a service

Definitely Bartletts 100%, the guys there are all proper skiers, love the sport and know their stuff...

if you are cxlose to uxbridger Bartletts seems a sensible and logical choice.

Thanks all will make an appointment with Ski Bartlett since you guys gave your approval.
Sorry maybe advanced was exaggerated; I'm confident with carving and most piste runs including some blacks like Aiguille Rouge in Les Arc, but if we include off-piste or moguls then I'm definitely just an intermediate skier.

A 40-50 week skier, I’d probably be a mixture of L9-L10.

Is it recommend to get custom insoles?? Left it too late due to my irregular work schedule not matching my brother's and SB had no appointments available for the single day we are both off; so going to Profeet in Fulham.
@swskier, months of watching all the ski tutorials on YouTube then putting it into practice on the slopes. I wish I could learn to snowboard as quick XD

Assume you are skiing, don’t know anything about snowboarding boots. Definitely insoles. World of difference.
Note: when I got my boots, I was in real pain for the first 1-2 hours and then bliss all the time ever since. If only my skiing skills improved just with boots  .
