Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Clusaz restaurant recommendations

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Dear all, my daughter and son in law are off for a short break to La Clusaz. Would be very grateful for any restaurant recommendations both on the slopes and in town. She is also ceoliac, so any thoughts here also appreciated. Please send recommendations even if you have no idea regarding GF though!
Many thanks in anticipation.

@twoodwar, a few years ago I went to La Clusaz with friends who had been there before and they introduced me to a very good value restaurant in the centre of town next to the Church ( the address is 89 Place de L'eglise). It's called Pizza Minut and although they do a lot of takeaway trade they also do dining in although the number of tables is fairly limited (I think their website says maximum of 20 people, so a reservation is probably a good idea). The menu in addition to pizzas also has pasta and other dishes and good value wine and beer (and desserts!).

I realise that pizza and pasta will contain gluten so not suitable for your daughter, but if you look at the menu you'll see they also do a plate of charcuterie and cheeses, tartiflette, omelettes and salads. Very Happy

It's a few years since I've been there (2015ish) but we had a nice meal in La Fruitiere. No idea what it's like now, but it was good then.

+1 for La Fruitiere (based on a couple of visits about 3 or 4 years ago anyway)

I have skied La Clusaz more time than I care to remember. Usually eat in Chez Arthur at the top of the Cret du Merle lift (it's a mountian restaurant) or La trace at the bottom of La Balme. Both were recommended by a French ski instructor friend.

Love Chez Arthur- good self service, in the village always found La caleche a nice place - both in winter and summer

Just out of town, but Le Ferme is great (definitely advise to book in advance though) and La Cascade. My Fiancé is gluten intolerant and we have had great meals there without issue

L'Outa is always great in my experience. Have eaten there lots of times. La Caleche is also consistently very good.
