Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Unfortunate name in English, sounds like it could be a lot of 'grief'!! Shocked

No, but seriously, it looks lovely, in a quiet spot on the edge of the village, but it will be a bit of a trek to the lifts, 1000m or 10mins walking according to Google, which would hard going in ski boots.

This is where the main lifts start: https://goo.gl/maps/kiuahzN8rK2Bn7YF6

Check it out on Google Maps and Streetview.

Hopefully they will run a minibus to the lifts at suitable times, or maybe you could rent some lockers, you probably need to ask the hotel or TO what they can do for you.

And welcome to snowHeads!! snowHead

Good reports from trip advisor, and a shuttle mini bus from the hotel to lifts.

Hopefully the shuttle is frequent and doesn't take too long as we are likely to be a group of 20.

Check with the hotel. Normally the shuttle bus will be a minivan and they'll run whenever someone needs transporting and will give you a number to call if you need picking up.

Or as Luigi suggests, the ski school rental shop next to the Boe gondola has heated lockers in its basement room where you can leave your ski gear and then walk back in your snow boots. That's what we do but we stay in a closer hotel and the Greif is up the hill a bit.

It's a 3 min drive, it'll take longer to load and unload than the actual journey!! Laughing Laughing

If it's a private shuttle minibus, depending on capacity, you might have to travel in shifts.

But if you ski around in a group of 20, you'll probably be used to waiting while people faff with boots, gloves, goggles, lipsalve, phones, cameras and multiple loo breaks!! Shocked

We too are a family group of 20. Tried to book through Crystal as the hotel suited all our needs but they did not have enough rooms for our size.

Last March, we stayed on the street across the intersection (Strada Sassongher) from the Greif on Strada Aga. There's a ski bus stop there and its a fairly big bus which seems to run all the time. They charged through our hotel but a week's pass was minimal (10 euro?). We never showed the bus pass to the driver... Would be a 5 minute hike from your hotel I'd guess.

If you don't take the bus, its about a 20 minute hike to the Boe lift and mostly downhill. Or a three minute bus ride. On the way back, we usually skied the strip of snow under the bridge to get closer to the main street into the neighborhood (Morin), then just walked uphill for a few minutes. Really not that far to hike. We were too impatient to wait for the bus.

I dimly recall that the bus stopped to either pick people up or drop them off at the main intersection (Sassongher and Aga/Parus). I'm sure your hotel will give you a few options...

Cheers!
