The snow Gods appear to be answering our prayers and the cheeky 4day trip to Schladming on 1 Dec looks to be all set to go! The cannons are a blowing, the real stuff is settling down to resort level and the forecast looks set to be cold. Its always touch and go but we've only had to venture off to the Kaprun glacier once during this 'first weekend of Dec trip' since 2013. I can nearly taste that Schladminger beer already! Cheers everyone!

Can anyone report on snow at Flachau/Amade? We are flying out on Saturday 4th |March. Is there enough snow up top? I guess none in resort? It's a packing footwear question really! Might bring walking boots if the snow's awful! Thanks

@snowyowl, It is snowing now. Plenty of snow up top and on all the runs to village level. White in Resort today, but will melt away over next week. Due to snow again towards the end of your week. You won't have any issues skiing all week.

Great spring skiing in Schladming, can still ski back to valley on very uncrowded slopes. The last week or so has provided fresh powder higher up, fun slush for the lower slopes. Incoming cold front tonight should bring plenty of fresh snow, maybe even to valley level for an end of season powder session.

@waynos, Same here in Flachau. A bit sticky mid-mountain this afternoon but good above and below. Last day with clients tomorrow, just in time to be free for the weekend's Snow Bomb.

@redandwhiteflachau Plan on a blast at zauch Friday morning. Staying local tomorrow. Good chance I'll delay returning to UK so I can ski Saturday too. Too good miss if forecast on target.
