Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Season accommodation les Menuires

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello!

Perhaps not the right place to post, but my message might reach a wider audience here! Toofy Grin

It seems to be a very difficult season for getting season accommodation in les Menuires (and elsewhere…) - I'm heading out to do instructor training in a few weeks. If any snowhead has, or knows of someone, who might be able to rent for the season, I'd be very appreciative! Unfortunately I'm limited to les Menuires station due to driving licence issues.

Thank you!!

Try joining and then posting on The Valley Echo Facebook page, also St Martin Social FB. Local estate agents and Leboncoin are also worth a look. Even if you don’t have a car, there’s a free bus up and down the valley, so you might have more luck if you expand your search area to the satellite villages of Praranger, Les Granges and St Marcel. Of those 3, it’s fair to say that only St Marcel puts you in walking distance to any bars etc…a 15 min downhill walk to St Martin. What are you looking for- an apartment or just a room? Is it for the whole season or just a couple of months?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for the reply Perty, I've joined that FB group but no luck yet via other FB groups, local estate agents or Leboncoin, which led me here!
Ideally looking for a small studio, but a room or an apartment could also work (other guys from my instructor course are also looking…). I'm looking for the end of November until 11 April. Smile

It's also worth mentioning that if you are in uniform, hitching up and down would probably not be a problem - I have ended up in Courchevel with a car load of ESFers picked up along the way! Sharing somewhere down the way with one of your colleagues who doesn't have "driving licence issues" might be the best answer. You could pay all their fuel costs.
