Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski + Board Magazine

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
So I picked up a copy of Ski + board magazine from the Ski show at the NEC on Saturday, I thought that might make good reading and help tide me over until my first trip of the season.

I has only two pages that I would consider interesting, the article on PFD. The remaining content is best described as 'Humdrum' and, they want people to pay £4.50 for it. I do wonder is Members actually read it..

Admittedly I may be a little frustrated because my subscription copy of Fall line appears to be caught up in a postal strike, and Powder magazine has been dropped as its new corporate owners deemed it 'unworthy'

"Come on Nicola pull your socks up".

I asked their stand about where they were and was molified with a small goody bag including another buff and more stickers, only for it to drop on our mat a couple of days later.

Plenty more post strikes to go!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

TBH I rarely read very much of it at all in the last ten years or so of our membership. Often two or three copies might be sitting there unopened at any given time.

I feel that it used to be a lot more interesting, but has failed to compete with the vast amount of information available online, particularly in the Ski Test (that used to be the magazine's name) subject area. Yes, when I was still repping it was more relevant, since living in a ski resort much less so, but as a general snowsports mag it had perhaps lost its way somewhat.

Needs the unnameable one back doing all his insightful "journalism" . That'll bury it for good.
